Do you like to travel in refined elegance and sumptuous style? The 2027 OGV Luxury Coach V-Tour 7RL  is a luxurious, road-trip machine. This compact and nimble Class B is especially ideal for the discerning couples or small families who want premium off-grid capability. A prime example of a gorgeous van conversion, it is perfect for day trips, exploring local attractions. attending music festivals, or overnight adventuring to bucket list destinations. It has all the maneuverability of a Class B camper van without sacrificing any premium, residential-style amenities or luxury.

On the outside, the V-Tour 7RL features clean, elegant lines. And other than its roof-mounted power awning, it doesn’t look like anything other than a Mercedes passenger van. Even so, when you step inside this rig, there’s no doubt: You’re in a high-end touring van for sure. At first glance, you’ll notice light-colored, premium leather upholstery highlighted by blue LED lights on cup holders conveniently located for each of seven occupants.

After that, there are a lot of small things that add up to great design and build quality. Examples include dovetailed joints on cabinetry, premium appliances, a Truma furnace, a power bed, a spacious wet bath, and control panels that let you control everything in the RV from a convenient location.

And even with all that, we’re really just getting started. So, let’s dive right in!

At a Glance: V-Tour 7RL

I rated the 2027 OGV Luxury Coach V-Tour 7RL a 8.9 out of 10. While I was touring this model, I had a sense of deja vu (all over again) because this luxury RV is almost exactly like the 2025 Grech RV Strada-ion Tour that I reviewed two years ago. (A very complimentary comparison.) Of course, the whole OGV lineup is a direct competitor to Grech RV. Both product lines appeal to the ultra-luxury market (for good reason), but the V-Tour 7RL comes at a slightly lower entry point.

You might be asking yourself what sacrifices were made to bring this RV to the market for about $25,000 less than the Strada-ion. While the V-Tour 7RL is a well-built, luxurious RV, OGV Luxury Coach uses some slightly less premium amenities in it. For instance, instead of the Stada Ion’s convection/microwave/air fryer, the OG V-Tour has a simple microwave oven. And instead of the Strada-ion’s Firefly touch screen control system, this model has a capable Garmin touchscreen system. For many people, differences like these won’t be a big deal, and that’s what OGV Luxury Coach is banking on.

Overall design and quality of workmanship are superb throughout the V-Tour 7RL, with plush leather upholstery and hardwood cabinets with dovetailed joinery in the drawers. This is a fantastic RV for road trippers seeking an ultraluxurious RV with a lot of off-grid functionality.

  • Two smart HD TVs (one in the rear living area, one in the front passenger area)

Benefits

  • Easy (and fun) to drive. Driver’s amenities include collision mitigation, a backup camera, GPS, a well-laid-out dash with a perfectly placed instrument cluster, and seat-position memory (handy for multiple drivers).
  • Bring the whole gang. Odd but awesome for a Class B, there’s plenty of seating.
  • Work from the road. OGV Luxury Coach makes remote work easy with an adjustable, movable Lagun table and mobile Starlink satellite internet.
  • Saving money on storage fees. The V-Tour 7RL fits conveniently in most driveways and looks like a high-end passenger van. (Which means that it won’t upset any pesky, RV-sensitive HOAs.)
  • Saying goodbye to propane. You don’t require propane for anything in the V-Tour 7RL.

Challenges

  • Sleeps just two. Even though you can bring along up to seven, the V-Tour 7RL only sleeps two people. So, anyone joining in of the road trip will have to find their own overnight accommodations.
  • More ready for off-grid than off-road. You’ll need to stick to fairly tame roads. This chassis doesn’t have a lift kit.
  • Refrigerator isn’t accessible from outside. Maybe this sounds petty, buy more and more RVs are creating dual access points — inside and outside — for fridges. Would’ve been nice to see one here.

Best For

  • Low-passenger, luxury-minded, off-grid campers. Those who want a small, nimble, luxurious RV to explore the open road, attend music festivals, or boondock while enjoying a host of premium off-grid amenities will love this model.
  • Four-season camper couples. Campers lookers for Class B to use as a luxury slopeside accommodation for skiing, hiking, or rock climbing trips will find this a fully capable four-season RV that’s built for year-round use.

Key Areas We Evaluate for RV Buyers

Sleeping Space: 9/10

There’s sleeping for two on the queen, power sofa bed that’s located in the rear of the OGV Luxury Coach V-Tour 7RL. The bed is operated through a nifty Garmin touchscreen near the front of the RV. It’s a nice setup — especially if you’re parked backed to a forest, lake, or other beautiful view, in which case you can sleep with the doors open. And no, you won’t need to worry about bugs. There is a power, rear-door, insect screen that descends at the touch of the Garmin control panel.

Bathroom: 9/10

It’s no surprise that the V-Tour 7RL comes with a wet bath. The configuration of this wet bath is well done, with the teak shower floor becoming a shelf over a porcelain flush toilet. This is a handy storage option for travel. However, it could just as easily be an inconvenience for anyone who needs to use the toilet. One of the best features in the bathroom is the full-length mirror to help keep you looking presentable. Overall, the bathroom is well-executed and spacious, with a small sink and plenty of ceiling height throughout.

Living Area: 9/10

This floorplan of the V-Tour 7RL boasts two living spaces. The first one is adjacent to the power side door, with two comfy, adjustable captain’s chairs. There’s also a Lagun table that stores behind the driver’s side captain’s chair. It deploys in seconds to become a workstation, or a small dining area for snacks or simple meals on the road.

This table easily moves to be deployed in the rear lounge area as needed. It’s a neat setup because if there’s two people traveling, one of them can work undisturbed in the front living area while the other enjoys watching the HD Smart TV from the power reclining sofa in the lounge area at the back. There’s a lot of room for flexibility here, with an HD Smart TV in each area, as well as additional sheltered living space beneath the big power awning.

Throughout this Class B are cup holders, USB ports and little places where you can tuck items that you use regularly through the day. The refrigerator provides easy access to beverages from either side. Overall, it’s a well-executed floorplan that has a lot going for it.

However, a relatively minor flaw in build quality became apparent. When I tried to remove a standard water bottle from one of the cupholders, the whole cupholder came with it. This shouldn’t happen in any RV. and it’s something that certainly can’t be overlooked in an RV with an MSRP that’s over $247,000. Although I didn’t rate build quality for this model, it would have lost a point because of this. Other than that, this is a fantastic RV for road trippers seeking an ultraluxurious Class B with a lot of off-grid functionality.

Kitchen: 9/10

The kitchen in the V-Tour 7RL is simple and well-laid-out. It comes with enough storage and cooking amenities to create simple meals on the road or at a campsite. It boasts a small 12-volt refrigerator/freezer, a two-burner induction cooktop, and a mid-sized microwave that’s enough to heat beverages, a burrito, or pop a bag of popcorn. The stainless-steel sink is generous and maximizes solid-surface counter space with a sink cover. There are multiple drawers beneath the counter, and handy elements like flip-out storage for dishwashing tools and a pull-out trash can. In addition, there’s abundant storage in overhead cabinets.

Overall, the kitchen is impressive. Dark counters and cabinets add to the refined elegance of this RV and leave no doubt that you’re traveling in a top-of-the-line luxury RV.

Four-Season Capabilities: 9/10

The V-Tour 7RL boasts multiple layers of insulation in its floors, walls and ceilings including a layer of reflective insulation that helps to regulate the interior temperature. In addition, utilities are insulated heated freshwater along with gray and black water tanks. To help keep you cozy in the winter (or at the ski hill), there’s a diesel heater. (This also heats water in the tankless heater.)

Additionally, the V-Tour 7RL features a 110-volt air conditioner that transforms this Class B into a cool oasis when temperatures are soaring outside. It’s all designed to give you a premium camping experience that makes the journey as enjoyable as the destination.

Storage Space: 8/10

Like almost every other Class B, there isn’t a lot of storage space in the V-Tour 7RL. However, OGV Luxury Coach does a good job of maximizing available space with hand-crafted hardwood cabinets. There are plenty of overheard cabinets that can store a weekend’s worth of food, clothing, and other supplies. In addition, there’s a small wardrobe cabinet for storing shirts and jackets. There’s a bar over the sofa bed at the rear of the RV just in case you require more hanging storage.

All in all, OGV Luxury Coach did an excellent job with storage in the V-Tour 7RL. However, if you have more gear you want to bring, there’s a hitch receiver on the back for a bike rack or small cargo trailer.

Chassis/Suspension: 8/10

The V-Tour 7RL is upfitted into a 170-inch Mercedes Benz chassis that’s designed to get you into most locations with power to spare. With that said, it’s powered by a 2.0L high-output diesel engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission. While the V-Tour 7RL does come in a lifted version designed for more rugged adventures, the model I’m reviewing was designed more for tamer travels on highways or gravel roads.

Cockpit: 10/10

The cockpit of the V-Tour 7RL is clearly meant to reduce driver fatigue while optimizing the driving experience. A raised driving position and expansive windows offer an open view of the road, while the instrument cluster is easy to view and all controls are easily at hand. Other driver amenities include safety features like collision mitigation, lane-departure control, and onboard navigation.

In addition, both driver and passenger seats in the V-Tour 7RL are designed to maximize comfort, with memory-foam cushioning as well as heating and cooling. A nice touch (in more ways than one) is the heated steering wheel, which promises to bring comfort to those chilly, early-morning drives. Central cup holders are within easy reach for both driver and passenger. Plus, the passenger side has a dedicated shelf to hold items such as laptops, tablets and/or books.

Off-Grid/Sustainability: 10/10

The 2027 OGV Luxury Coach V-Tour 7RL boasts a host of off-grid features that make it perfect for touring Harvest Hosts and/or Boondockers Welcome locations. These include generous freshwater and holding tank sizes, a 3,000-watt inverter, 1080-amp-hour lithium batteries, a solar package, and dual alternator with charge controller. Because many people want to stay connected whether they’re on the road or boondocking, the V-Tour 7RL also comes with a wireless internet router, Apple TV, and a Starlink High Performance Internet System.

Value: 8/10

There’s no doubt the V-Tour 7RL comes with a premium price tag. But, in fairness, it offers a lot of luxury for that price. This deluxe RV has all the amenities you need to level up your road trips, including the ability to bring up to six friends along for the adventure. After all, winery tours, music festivals, or sports events are even better with a group of friends. Near-perfect build quality coupled with outstanding design make this RV a great value for those who want to camp off-grid but still want sumptuous amenities and a lot of style.

Closing Notes on the V-Tour 7RL

The 2027 OGV Luxury V-Tour 7RL proves that you can have sumptuous, even spacious, luxury in Class B. With its premium craftsmanship, sophisticated styling, and impressive off-grid capabilities, it promises a touring experience that’s every bit as enjoyable as the destinations you’ll discover along the way. Whether you’re exploring scenic backroads, spending the weekend at a music festival, or waking up beside a mountain lake, this Class B is designed to make every trip comfortable and memorable.

If you’re looking for a compact luxury motorhome that’s easy-to-drive, capable of extended off-grid travel, and loaded with premium amenities, the V-Tour 7RL deserves a spot near the top of your shortlist. It successfully combines the maneuverability of a Mercedes-Benz camper van with the comfort and refinement of a high-end motorhome, making it an excellent choice for couples who believe the journey should be just as rewarding as the destination.
