This monthly list of August 2026 RV recalls is a decrease from the recalls from the previous month of July.
Recall. Escape Trailer Industries Ltd. (Escape) is recalling certain 2025–2026 Escape E13 F1 recreational trailers. This recall affects 23 potential units. Insufficient ventilation around the refrigerator may allow carbon monoxide to build up inside the passenger cabin, increasing the risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Action for owner. Dealers will install a ventilation fan and insulation, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed August 4, 2026. Owners may contact Escape customer service at 1-855-703-1650.
Recall. Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2027 Leprechaun and Freelander recreational vehicles. This recall affects 21 potential units. Recall. Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2027 Jayco Eagle, Eagle SLE, and Heartland Sundance fifth wheel trailers. This recall affects 137 potential units. The auto-leveling jacks may be lowered during transit. Activation of the jacks during transit increases the risk of a crash.

The tire size may be incorrect on the vehicle certification label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, “Wheels and Rims-Other than Passenger Cars.” Incorrect information may result in the wrong-sized replacement tires being installed. This potentially increases the risk of a crash.
Action for owner. Jayco will mail replacement labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 30, 2026. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco’s number for this recall is 9903664.
Recall. Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2027 Entegra Qwest and Jayco Melbourne Prestige recreational vehicles. This recall affects 11 potential units. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 101, “Controls and Displays.” The incorrect warning light may fail to alert the driver to critical safety information or cause confusion, increasing the risk of a crash.
