If you’re looking for a very practical way to haul your toys, this list of five affordable toy haulers might help you find that perfect next RV. Know that toy haulers come in as many sizes as the toys themselves with some ideally suited for perhaps a single kayak or maybe a couple of bicycles. Then there are larger models that can swallow a vehicle like a side-by-side or other motorized vehicles.

In this list you’ll find all of these, and we’ve looked for models that combine good value with usable functionality for a given size- from the smallest to the largest.

1. inTech Flyer Explore

RV builder inTech is known for their commercial trailers and higher-end products, but they also offer several smaller toy haulers including the inTech Flyer Explore. This small, single-axle toy hauler offers enough cargo capacity to haul a motorcycle and absolutely can swallow a couple of electric bikes or other items.

By using a drop-down bed on the roadside, you get a compact overall camper but one that still has space for plenty of gear. Another unique feature available is a slide-out kitchen at the front which includes a 12-volt powered cooler and two-burner propane cook top.

  • L: 13’ 9”
  • Cargo: 8’ 1” x 5’ 9”
  • CCC 880-1,410 lbs.
  • MSRP: $23,800

2. Puma Camping Edition 141THCE

It’s pretty impressive what Puma has been able to snug into the diminutive 141THCE. There’s sleeping for four, a toilet and shower and even a full kitchen. Yet at just over 16 feet in length, this is an easy towing and very affordable choice.

When traveling there is up to 1,500 pounds of cargo carrying capacity so that dirt bike should fit just fine but then, when you get to camp, there’s a drop-down bed pop-out on the roadside which will accommodate two for sleeping. There’s also a Murphy bed inside the cargo area on the campside, so you have sleeping room for four.

This trailer also has a wet bath with a toilet and there’s even a full kitchen with an induction cook top, microwave, and 12-volt refrigerator at the front.

  • L: 16’ 3”
  • CCC: 1,500 lbs.
  • MSRP: ±$35,400

3. Cherokee Wolf Pup 18RJBW

One of the most popular brands in the Forest River family is the Cherokee brand, and this makes sense. These tend to be more value-packed and have prices that are at the lower end of the spectrum.

Cherokee makes a number of smaller and more affordable toy haulers, including the compact Cherokee 18RJBW. At just 22’ 8” long and 90” wide this compact model brings a surprising amount of sleeping and cargo carrying into this spectrum with up to 167” length for cargo and a load capacity of up to 1867 pounds.

There is a front “east to west” bed that sleeps two with a bunk above that for an additional person or some cargo. There’s also a dinette at the back that can be folded out of the way for cargo or folded flat to accommodate another sleeping position.

Even at this size and price you still get a 59” x 71” ramp door that doubles as a patio deck. There’s a lot of value in this smaller package.

  • L: 22’ 8”
  • Cargo: 167” L, 56” W
  • CCC: 1,876 lbs.
  • MSRP: ±$39,000

4. Grand Design Momentum 17MAV

There are toy haulers in this list that are smaller in size and capacity, and then some that are more than what some might expect in a toy hauler. The Grand Design Momentum 17MAV is closer to the traditional toy hauler in size and capacity which does bump up the price, but that price is still on the more affordable side of the equation.

One of the more unusual ways that Grand Design has accommodated toys is with an innovative bed situation on the roadside of this rig.

During the day there’s a fold-out table and chairs that could easily be likened to a picnic table. At night a Murphy bed drops down out of the side of the trailer giving you a proper 60” x 80” queen-sized mattress.

  • L: 22’ 11”
  • Cargo: 11’ 6” L x 79” W
  • CCC 4,408 lbs.
  • MSRP: $47,462

5. Cherokee Wolf Pack 21-14.5

We’ve included the Cherokee Wolf Pack 21-14.5 in this collection because it approaches the larger size that many people want in a toy hauler. With a width of 101” you can get larger items like side-by-sides here – a prerequisite for many toy hauler shoppers.

There are also options that can be important to shoppers including an on-board generator, second air conditioner, and a ramp that doubles as a patio deck. Theres also a three-season door option that blocks outside weather while still providing access to the patio deck.

While this really pushes the limits of being “entry level” it’s an affordable way to get full-sized toy hauler features in a travel trailer with almost 5,000 pounds of cargo carrying capacity.

  • L: 26’ 10”
  • Cargo: 168.75” L x 97.3” W
  • CCC: 4,922 lbs.
  • MSRP: ± $52,000

No matter what you’re hauling, or how much space you need to sleep, there’s a toy hauler here sized to fit. The key is matching your cargo needs and towing setup to the right floor plan, and this list shows that a bigger footprint isn’t the only path to real functionality. Take a closer look at the specs that matter most for your setup, and you’ll likely find your next RV on this list.
