Are you looking for a spacious, family-oriented Class A motorhome that’s ready to take a small crowd roadtripping? The 2027 Tiffin Motorhomes Allegro Red 38KA bunkhouse model is packed with luxurious amenities and practical solutions for family needs. First and foremost, there’s sleeping space and seat belts for up to seven happy campers.
Even so, the Allegro Red 38K exhibits an ultraspacious floorplan (though it’s not the longest RV on the market). This spacious design is largely due to having opposing slide-outs in both the main living area and the master bedroom. This includes a full-length, passenger-side slide-out that creates space throughout the cabin, and brings the total width to 13 feet when all slide-outs are extended. That’s enough space that no one on board will feel crowded.

I rated the 2027 Tiffin Motorhomes Allegro Red 38KA a 8.8 out of 10. This model is a well-executed motorhome that hits all the bells on a lot of our rated categories. Overall, things were done really well in the Allegro Red 38K — especially with the family in mind. Clean-up-friendly tile floors certainly will be a breeze to clean up. Abundant, well-designed storage both inside and outside this RV give it ample space for the whole pack to pile in.
However, there were a few little things that I thought the designers could have done better. A few examples are the viewing angle of the TV (restricted depending on where you are sitting) and that any shower traffic will have to pas through the bedroom.

Benefits
- Extra sleep and living space for the whole family. The Allegro Red 38KA has comfortable sleeping space for all the kids, plus a friend or two. The upper power bunk gets out of the way making this area a great lounging space for kids. There’s also room in the living area for everyone to have their own space.
- Bonus half bath. Having two bathrooms means mom and dad get their master bathroom to themselves … unless someone needs a shower.
- Convenience of onboard laundry. Having a washer and dryer means no hassles with locating laundromats and finding coins when it’s time to do laundry.
- Extended outdoor living space. The awning creates a large, sheltered living space outside, complete with a TV.
Challenges
- TV viewing angles. Those who are sitting in the reclining front seats or the rear-facing dinette seat have a comfortable view of the TV. Other members of the family won’t. This could have been solved with a drop-down TV that faces the sofa.
- Passthrough shower traffic. The kids or guests will have to go through the bedroom to take a shower.
- No dishwasher. There will be lots of dishes with a full house of travelers. A dishwasher would be nice to have in the galley.
- Upfront cost. The $493,835 price tag could present a challenge for many families

Sleeping Space: 9/10
Wow! The Allegro Red 38KA has a lot of sleeping areas. Let’s start in the master bedroom. Opposing slide-outs make this a huge bedroom. (By RV standards, that is.) It offers a comfortable, walkaround king bed with reading lights and CPAP-ready nightstands on both sides. Beneath the bed, there is also storage. A wall of cabinets across from the bed includes a wardrobe for shirts, blouses, and jackets, as well as big drawers and a laundry hamper. The laundry machines are just around the corner in the en suite bathroom, making laundry days a whole lot easier.
Kids will love the twin bunk beds because the top bunk is on a powered lift system. So, it can rise out of the way when not in use. This makes the bottom bunk into a comfortable lounging space for kids that want to play on tablets — or what have you. Each bunk has its own charging ports for charging devices. Beneath the bunks are two big drawers that could be used to store clothing or other items.
There’s more sleeping space in the living area on both the drop-down dinette and queen pull-out bed. The dinette deploys into sleeping space relatively easily. Simply unlock the mechanism and push it down into place. This bed is long enough for smaller adults to sleep comfortably on, The pull-out bed folded out easily and has a queen air mattress that could sleep two people.
Bathroom: 9/10
The Allegro Red 38K boasts two bathrooms. (Well, really a full bathroom and a half bathroom.) The half bathroom is small, but it does what’s needed. It includes a porcelain toilet, undermounted sink, and a decent amount of storage in the medicine cabinet and vanity, as well as a wall-mounted cabinet over the toilet that could store items like toilet paper.
The main bathroom offers a massive shower with a Water Miser for water conservation. There’s generous ceiling height here (in addition to a skylight). So, tall folks won’t find themselves stooping to get under the shower. The vanity in this bathroom is spacious, featuring an undermounted sink surrounded by plenty of solid-surface counterspace. Tiffin Motorhomes kits out this bathroom with storage in hardwood drawers and cabinets. But the highlight for many families will be the stacking washer-dryer. Having an onboard washer-dryer is a must for traveling with multiple children.
I was impressed by the fact that Tiffin Motorhomes includes towel bars and toilet paper roll holders in the bathrooms.
Further, outside, a hot and cold shower port outside would work well for washing sandy feet, muddy paws, or gear like bikes.
Living Area: 9/10
Opposing slide-outs and a light color scheme help make the living area in the 2027 Tiffin Motorhomes Allegro Red 38KA feel wonderfully open. The reclining driver and front passenger seats spin around to face the main living area, with a perfect view of the TV. There’s also a comfortable booth dinette with seat belts that offers seating for four or five (with one person in a chair at the end). Three more seats (with two seatbelts) are available on the pull-out sleeper sofa. However, because the entertainment center is adjacent to the sleeper sofa, it doesn’t optimize TV viewing but it offers a cozy spot to warm up on cool evenings.
Outside, an expansive awning area creates additional sheltered living space complete with a smart TV and outdoor speakers.
Kitchen: 8/10
The passenger-side kitchen in the Allegro Red 38KA has a fantastic set up for efficient meal preparation for a crowd of hungry campers. The setup works because it starts at a 21-cubic-foot, French-door refrigerator with a bottom freezer drawer and a small pull-out pantry. Next to that, there’s a nice, deep, two-bowl sink with a gooseneck, pull-down faucet with a sink cover to maximize counter space. Durable solid-surface countertops are perfect for standing up to the spills and other accidents that can happen in day-to-day family life.
Handcrafted hardwood cabinets and big drawers in the kitchen offer organized storage so everything will be right where you need it. Cooking appliances in the Allegro Red 38KA are equally well-thought-out. There’s an energy-efficient, two-burner induction cooktop. as well as an eye-level convection/microwave/air fryer that’s large enough to handle family meals. Lights and 110-volt outlets are located underneath the upper cabinets. There are some neat features in this kitchen, although there’s nothing gimmicky about it.
Overall, Tiffin Motorhomes did a great job with the design of this kitchen. Areas that could stand improvement are the lack of a dishwasher and the fact that the drawer boxes don’t have dovetailed joints — something I expected in an RV in this price range.
Four-Season Capabilities: 8/10
The Allegro Red 38KA is equipped for all but the most extreme weather conditions. This starts with a robust insulation package and dual-pane windows, in addition to insulated and heated tanks and storage bays. Two 15,000-Btu air conditioners are ready to meet hot weather head on, but for cooler temperatures there’s an AquaGo heat exchanger and two 30,000-Btu gas furnaces, as well as the electric fireplace in the living room.
Storage Space: 9/10
Tiffin Motorhomes is legendary when it comes to RV storage space. Outside the Allegro Red 34KA, you’ll find abundant passthrough storage with pull-out trays and side-opening doors that allow access to stored items in tight spaces. In addition there’s a built-in reel for the extension cord in the utility bay as well as a separate sewer hose cabinet.
Inside, you’ll find abundant storage with overhead cabinets throughout the RV, as well as clever solutions like big storage bins beneath the dinette benches.
Chassis/Suspension: 9/10
This model is built on a Freightliner XCM modular rail, rear-engine diesel chassis, equipped with a powerful Cummins L9, 380-horsepower diesel engine and Allison transmission. Although it’s equipped with air brakes, the Allegro Red 38KA has a single rear axle, so you won’t need a CDL to drive in many states.
This chassis also features hydraulic leveling jacks and slide-outs.
Cockpit: 9/10
The cockpit in the Allegro Red 38KA provides an excellent view of the road and has everything at hand, including a monitor for backup and side-view cameras. A big hardwood drawer on the driver’s side could be used as a glovebox. (It would also be a handy place to stash a bag of chips too.) Both driver and front passenger have power reclining seats and easy-to-access cupholders for beverages on the road.
Off-Grid/Sustainability: 9/10
The Allegro Red 38KA is designed for off-grid adventures, with generous tank sizes, a whopping 8,000-watt onboard Onan generator, and thee 200-watt solar panels with 30-amp controllers. It also features a 2.000 watt pure sine wave inverter, so you can plug into 110-volt outlets when you’re not connected to 50-amp service.
In addition, the Allegro Red 38KA I viewed was prepped for Starlink for off-grid internet capability.
Value: 9/10
There’s no getting around the fact that the Allegro Red 38KA is higher than many other RVs in its class. A price like that raises expectations, and I felt this RV met them solidly for the most part. This is definitely a well-built Class A diesel pusher with a host of features designed to keep families happy and comfortable when they’re on the road. Overall, I felt the Allegro Red 38KA offers very good value for families or extended families who like to hit the road together.
