Are you looking for a small, two-person motorhome that strikes the perfect balance between versatility and luxury? The 2027 Tiffin Motorhomes Wayfarer 25XLW could be the perfect pick. This easy-driving Class C is ready to take you on weekend getaways or extended road trips in comfort and style. It offers a unique combination of comfortable amenities and storage that’s nothing short of ingenious.
Based on smooth-handling Mercedes-Benz 4500XD cutaway chassis, the Wayfarer 25 lineup features full body paint, as well as a low-maintenance fiberglass roof. But a comfortable ride and classy good looks are only part of the package here. This 26-foot model is packed with both amenities and functional storage.
I can’t wait to tell you all about it, so let’s get rolling with this review.

I rated the 2027 Tiffin Motorhomes Wayfarer 25XLW 8.7 out of 10. The Wayfarer 25XLW is built to provide a premium travel experience for active travelers who travel mainly on paved surfaces but may want to boondock along the way. Overall, it does this very well, with luxurious amenities, a higher than average CCC, and and abundant, well-planned storage space. (This includes a handy garage at the rear of the coach, which could be used for many things, but is particularly useful for storing sporting equipment like bikes or paddle boards.)
There were, however, there were a few areas I did feel the Wayfarer 25XLW was wanting: the need for an additional burner in the kitchen, the lack of kitchen counter space, the absence of a true overcab bunk., and no TV in the bedroom.

Benefits
- Versatile and maneuverable. This Class C will provide a fun driving experience for most drivers. Additionally, you can park anywhere owing to its small footprint.
- Friendly to taller campers. With lots of interior headroom, I expect taller RVers will enjoy the vertical space.
- Suitable for extended travel and fun day trips. The Wayfarer 25XLW is small enough to be easy on fuel, yet there’s ample storage and amenities for one or two people. Also, nicely, there are four seatbelts for day trips with friends.
- Lots of power options. This model comes with a great solar package and on-board generator. That means there’s no need to plug into shore power. Of course, 30-amp power supply is always there if you need it.
Challenges
- Limited sleeping options for overnight guests. The overcab storage area will need a cargo net if you use it for storage, and with its size, that looks like its intended. It’s too short and confined to be of practical use for sleepers. Nonetheless, it’s filled with a comfortable foam mattress. It would make sense to commit this space for use as overcab storage (after removing the mattress and adding that net.)
- No TV in the bedroom. It’s set up for a TV, but Tiffin Motorhomes doesn’t provide it. Presumably, not everyone will want a TV here. However, with a $244,195 MSRP, I’d expect one to come standard.
- Not designed to go off-road. While the Wayfarer 25XLW has some wonderful features for going off-grid, it’s not exactly designed to go off-road. The chassis and suspension are very capable in terms of power, but there’s not enough ground clearance to go very far from the beaten path

Key Areas We Evaluate for RV Buyers
Sleeping Space: 8/10
Sleeping space at the rear of the Wayfarer 25XLW can be configured either as a king bed or as a pair of twin beds. Alongside, the bedside shelf and inverted outlets enable CPAP use during off-grid overnight stops. This is great for couples who prefer separate beds, but it also makes it simple for solo travelers to add additional sleeping space for an occasional guest. Tiffin Motorhomes designers cleverly tucked a pull-out, hanging wardrobe beneath the right side of the bed for storage of jackets and shirts.
In addition, a door swings out to create a private en suite bathroom. (A neat feature I’ve never seen in a Class C or Class B motorhome — and one that creates a definite separate space for sleepers in the bedroom area.)
Now, it’s worth mentioning that there is a mattress in the overcab bunk in this floorplan. However, the area is so small, it’s hard to imagine who would be able to sleep there comfortably. It’s safe to say it’s high enough up that few parents would feel comfortable sleeping small children in this space, and the low ceiling height in this area would inevitably result in bumped heads for anyone larger.
Bathroom: 9/10
One of the things I loved about this Wayfarer floorplan is the split bathroom. Many RVs in this size category have a wet bath. While wet baths save valuable space in an RV, few people actually love them. That’s why I was pleasantly surprised to find a split bathroom in the Wayfarer 25XLW.
On the passenger side of the RV, there’s a relatively spacious shower that has loads of head clearance for taller people. The rest of the bathroom (vanity, toilet and storage) is on the driver’s side of the model. It’s a great setup that makes good use of space and ensures two people will be able to use the different functions of the bathroom with a degree of privacy that a wet bath just doesn’t offer.
Also, outside there’s an additional hot/cold shower that’s perfect for rinsing sandy feet or muddy paws.
Living Area: 8/10
The living room area of the Wayfarer 25 XLW has everything you need to relax on the reclining sofa. This coach is also available with a flip-out sofa bed for a child or smaller visitors. Both front seats spring to face the living area for additional seating, and there’s a floor mount for the small dining table between them. A 32-inch TV is installed at a nearly perfect viewing angle from the reclining sofa. The rear bedroom could easily become a cozy lounging space and is prepped for a second indoor TV.
However, perhaps the best space to unwind and relax after you arrive at camp will be under the expansive, armless Girard power awning. I tried unsuccessfully to find measurements for this, but my best guess is 16 feet. Beneath the awning, there is a 32-inch, wall-mounted LED smart TV. So, you can keep up to speed with the game in or out of the RV.
Kitchen: 8/10
The passenger side kitchen in the Wayfarer 25XLW is compact but functional enough for basic meals on the road. In terms of cooking appliances, there’s a single-burner induction cooktop and a small convection microwave air fryer oven that could be used for pizzas etc on the road. I would have loved to see a second burner on this cooktop, but other people may be glad there’s only one. In any case, the integrated induction cooktop creates more counter space in the kitchen. This kitchen has a balanced amount of storage on shelves and in cabinets.
Pots and pans will find a home in the big drawer beneath the oven. It’s nice to have lots of storage space for beverages and perishables on road trips. With that in mind, the Wayfarer 25 XLW offers an eight-cubic-foot, driver’s-side refrigerator-freezer. The fridge has a drawer for storing meats or salad fixings. An integrated handle makes it easy to tote to an outdoor kitchen area.
Four-Season Capabilities: 9/10
The Wayfarer 25XLW is designed for year-round use. With that in mind, it comes equipped with a 30,000-Btu ducted furnace, as well as a 15,000-Btu air conditioner with heat pump to keep chilly mornings at bay. Underneath the coach, heated fresh, grey, and black tanks, and ducted basement heat keep tanks, pipes, and items stored in the basement from freezing. The direct dump air conditioner also allows the Wayfarer 25XLW to become a cool oasis in the heat of summer.
Storage Space: 8/10
Tiffin Motorhomes has packed a lot of clever storage into the Wayfarer 25XLW floorplan. Let’s start by taking a look at exterior storage. For a small RV, it offers an impressive amount of exterior storage in numerous cabinets. Like all Tiffin Motorhomes, the Wayfarer 25XLW features side opening exterior cabinet doors. This is an underrated convenience — one that helps enable easy access to stored items, even when space is tight.
Also of note is the huge storage bay at the rear of the coach, which could be used like a garage to keep sport goods like bikes, golf clubs, and/or paddle boards safely out of sight. Inside, storage space starts over the cab area, with a very small, impractical over-cab bunk that could be used with a cargo net for storing soft goods. Storage inside is what you’d expect from a small Class C or B Plus campervan, but Tiffin includes a surprise at the back of the Wayfarer 25XLW with abundant cabinets and drawers — plus pull-out hanging storage for jackets, shirts, and going out for dinner clothes.
Chassis/Suspension: 10/10
Built on a Mercedes-Benz 4500 dual wheel cutaway chassis, the Wayfarer 25XLW offers a comfortable ride and confident handling. Tiffin Motorhomes drivers report that this Class C offers great handling and is fun to drive. That’s something you don’t hear too often when it comes to Class C — or even Class B Plus —motorhomes. This is partially due to its Mercedes-Benz 2.0 liter V4 turbo diesel, high-output 208 HP diesel engine with 332 pounds-foot torque and features that include collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist, and high-beam assist.
Cockpit: 10/10
The cockpit in the Wayfarer 25XLW is designed to provide a premium driving experience. It delivers this with sumptuous heated power seats and conveniently located controls. Rear and sideview cameras help to complete the package, making it easy to back into a tight campsite or parking space. In addition, both front seats swivel to face the living area, adding additional seating space.
Off-Grid/Sustainability: 9/10
The Wayfarer 25XLW is designed to provide luxurious accommodation for road trips and overnight stays. With that in mind, it’s equipped with a 200-watt roof mounted solar panel, 205-amp-hour lithium battery and a 4,000-watt, dual-fuel LP generator. That’s enough power to stay off grid comfortably for extended periods. The built-in Starlink mini will help make the Wayfarer 25XLW a favorite for remote workers — or anyone who wants to enjoy the multiple TVs in this RV.
Value: 8/10
There’s no denying that the Wayfarer 25XLW’s MSRP is above average for its category. For $244,195, any RV should deliver a lot. For the most part, this Wayfarer model floorplan is kitted out with all the necessities (and considerable luxury) for either extended travel or weekend getaways. With that said,I would have loved to have seen a two-burner inline induction cooktop in the kitchen and an additional TV in the bedroom area. Still, couples or solos (especially tall people) looking for a comfortable large Class B or small Class C RV with more luxury than a traditional campervan will find good value in the Wayfarer 25XLW. However, with a price tag approaching a quarter of a million dollars, this RV won’t be for everyone.
