The 2026 Grand Design RV Influence 3003RL could be exactly what you’re looking for — and for less money than you think. While there’s no shortage of rear-living-space RV floorplans, Grand Design RV has done an absolutely outstanding job with this one. Not only are the fit and finish superb in the Influence 3003RL, it’s filled to the brim with thoughtful surprises designed to make RV living just a little bit better.
Everything in the Influence 3003RL was designed with comfort and convenience in mind. To this end, it boasts cool amenities like power recliners, an abundance of hidden storage, and a dedicated electronics charging drawer in the coffee bar. However, that’s only the beginning of the features that make the Grand Design RV Influence so special.
Let’s get going with this RV review so I can tell you all about it.
At a Glance: Influence 3003RL
The 2026 Grand Design RV Influence 3003RL scored perfectly in nearly every aspect. Although it’s designed as a couple’s RV, there’s room to entertain guests. (There’s even a flip-out sofa for grandchildren or anyone else who wants to stay overnight.) Grand Design RV’s choice of the MORyde CRE3000 suspension system for this RV promises a smooth towing experience with fewer white-knuckle moments. However, the suspension is just one of the many things Grand Design RV has done well here. While you could easily park this RV as a destination trailer, it’s also ready to take on the road for an extended RV adventure.
There were only a couple of minor flaws in this RV. I felt the otherwise impressive bathroom would have benefited from a larger bathroom fan. That’s because humidity causes some of the biggest problems in RVs. So, it makes sense to have a big vent fan that can remove it from the RV bathroom as fast as possible. My take is that any RV with an MSRP of over $116,000 should come with at least one LiFePO4 lithium battery included in its solar power setup. However, other than that, this floorplan offers excellent value, boasting a lot of luxury for its price.

Key Areas We Evaluate for RV Buyers
Sleeping Space: 10/10
The bedroom at the front of the 2026 Grand Design RV Influence 3003RL offers a king bed with CPAP-ready shelves on both sides. Lifting the bed reveals a cavernous storage area, with enough space to store winter bedding, luggage, or anything else you need to have (but don’t always need access to). Both sides of the bed have a big window that can open to provide a nice cross breeze while you sleep. A 32-inch smart TV above the dresser at the foot of the bed is perfectly positioned to watch a movie while you’re cozy in bed.
One of the coolest features in the bedroom is the wainscoting on the wall that separates the bedroom from the bathroom. That’s because with a gentle push, a hidden panel concealed in the wainscoting opens up to reveal a laundry hamper that’s shared with the bathroom. This handy feature means you can put clothes into the hamper either in the bathroom or the bedroom.
Other neat things here are a walk-in closet. It’s lined with shelves and a non-slip rod for hanging shirts, jackets, and other clothing. Beside this closet is a washer/dryer-prepped closet that eliminates the whole hassle of finding laundromats while you’re traveling.
Although the Influence 3003RL is definitely a couple’s trailer, there’s room for overnight guests on the flip-down queen-size sofa bed in the living room.
Bathroom: 9/10
Grand Design RV did a fantastic job designing the bathroom in the Influence 3003RL. There’s plenty of room both in the shower and around the toilet. This bathroom also features a ton of storage in the linen closet, medicine cabinet, and vanity. One of the neatest things here (no pun intended) is that the vanity door incorporates dedicated (and tidy) stainless-steel cups for storing hairstyling tools and brushes. But there’s still plenty of room under the sink for cleaning supplies too.
This bathroom is the perfect combination of luxury and function. The big, stainless-steel sink is set into a generous solid-surface countertop, and there are five hooks nearby that could be convenient for hanging towels or bathrobes. I would have loved to see a bigger bathroom fan, a hand towel ring, and a toilet paper holder in this otherwise perfect bathroom.
Living Area: 10/10
The living area of the Influence 3003RL feels bright and spacious owing to an abundance of picture windows as well as simple, light-colored decor. Elegant designer touches like modern LED light fixtures add a contemporary vibe. Even so, light-colored, wood-look, vinyl flooring and a nice mantel and fireplace help keep the living room area relaxing and cozy. Power recliners outfitted with beverage holders and USB ports create a wonderfully relaxing spot to watch a movie or catch the game on the perfectly positioned 60-inch TV. And, if you’re in the mood for some music, there’s also a Bluetooth stereo tucked into one of three roomy cabinets over the TV.
The three-seater sofa makes it a comfortable space for entertaining guests. With that said, if you happen to have more than three people over to watch the game, it won’t be a problem. Because there’s enough floor space to add seating using chairs from the four-chair dinette too. Overnight guests are easily accommodated here as well because it takes very little effort to convert the sofa into a sleeping area for overnight guests
Room for Stuff, Plus Space Outside
There’s no such thing as too much storage in an RV. So, Grand Design RV designed six overhead cabinets into the living room of the Influence 3003RL. Three deep cabinets over the sofa along with three more cabinets over the entertainment center could house crafting supplies, games, snacks, or whatever you need to keep handy. Also, if you need to charge electronics, you won’t have to hunt for places to plug them in because both ends of the sofa have an end table with 110-volt outlets and USB ports.
Outside, you’ll find two big awnings that create an additional sheltered living area for sunny days. There’s also a convenient propane quick-connect so it’s easy to set up a grill for outdoor meals and entertaining.
Kitchen: 10/10
Cooks will love the amenities in this well-designed kitchen. It offers loads of workspace on solid-surface counters. The kitchen island offers a deep, farmhouse-style “smart sink” that has all the bells and whistles anyone could ever want … in a sink. It boasts a glass washer, a pull-down spray faucet, and an insert that makes it into a smaller sink. It also offers a colander, a cutting board and a dedicated veggie washer to convert it from a sink to an efficient salad-prep station.
But let’s talk about the appliance package in the Influence 3003RL floorplan. For cooking, there’s an oven that’s big enough for creating holiday feasts, a three-burner cooktop, and a residential microwave. There’s also a 16-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator with a big, drawer-style freezer that can operate on solar power. A pantry with adjustable shelves provides plenty of space for additional food storage too.
Surprises in the Galley
In addition, the kitchen offers a wealth of cabinet and drawer storage so that chefs can have everything on hand to create culinary delights. In addition, Grand Design RV has included a number of neat little surprises here. These include a pull-out spice rack over the cooktop, a drawer that stashes pet bowls out of the way, and a dedicated electronics charging drawer in the coffee bar that offers a safe, out-of-the-way place to charge smartphones and/or tablets.
As I reviewed the kitchen amenities in the Influence 3003RL, it’s obvious that Grand Design RVtook the time to ask RVers what they wanted in an RV kitchen. Because the one they built has everything any chef wants. There are ample and innovative storage, generous work areas, an efficient kitchen triangle, and great kitchen appliances.
Four-Season Capabilities: 10/10
The 2026 Grand Design RV Influence 3003RL is equipped to take on any season, with a better-than-average insulation package, enclosed and heated underbelly, a 35,000-Btu furnace, and up to 45,000 Btus of air conditioning. That said, it comes with two quiet, 15,000-Btu air conditioners and there is room for a third if that isn’t enough.
In addition, utilities and valves are housed in the heated passthrough to protect them from freezing temperatures.
Storage Space: 10/10
There’s no shortage of storage space in 2026 Grand Design RV Influence 3003RL. Outside, a huge storage compartment under the front cap could be used to store a generator and/or lithium batteries. In addition, there’s a massive, heated passthrough storage bay that could be used to store gear like chairs, a portable screen shelter, or sports equipment
Inside, there’s a wealth of storage in cabinets with neat features like hidden storage in the top of the bedroom dresser and shelves in the walk-in closet. The hidden hamper storage cabinet that’s accessible from both the bathroom and bedroom makes storing dirty laundry super convenient.
Grand Design RV did a really great job incorporating abundant storage in every possible spot throughout this RV.
Chassis/Suspension: 10/10
The Influence 3003RL sits on two 7,000-pound axles, equipped with 17.5-inch H-rated tires. “H-rated” means they’re designed to handle the heavy demands of carrying a 12,500-pound RV over a variety of road conditions. However, if you happen to have a blowout anyway, it’s always good to be prepared. In light of this, I was happy to see a spare tire mounted beneath the chassis of this Influence floorplan. Grand Design RV’s choice of the MORyde CRE3000 suspension system for this RV promises a smooth towing experience with fewer white-knuckle moments.
After you arrive at your destination, the Influence 3003RL’s six-point electronic levelling system helps make setup a breeze.
Off-Grid/Sustainability: 9/10
With extra-large tank sizes and an impressive solar power setup, the Grand Design RV Influence 3003RL could easily keep you off-grid for a few weeks without interruption. The Influence solar package includes a 330-watt solar panel, converter, and inverter. If you add lithium batteries, this is enough to run the 12-volt refrigerator, and almost everything else in the RV. With that said, you’ll need to plug into shore power (or to add substantially to the solar panel array) if you want to run one of the 15,000-Btu air conditioners.
Build Quality: 10/10
The build quality of the Influence 3003RL is nothing less than superb. An elegant, painted front cap and exterior design hint at what lies inside this head-turning RV. That’s where you’ll find an abundance of beautiful hardwood cabinets with features like a specialized electronics drawer for charging devices. Grand Design RV includes motion-detecting lights in key places throughout this RV. So you can find your way in the dark and see what’s inside cabinets. All of these little things add up to outstanding build quality in the Influence 3003RL.
Value: 9/10
The Grand Design RV Influence 3003RL is mid-priced for luxury fifth wheels in its class. With that said, it’s a completely livable four-season RV that’s filled with so many luxurious amenities and features that it feels more like a luxury condo than an RV. Taking all of this into consideration, the Influence 3003RL offers outstanding value for solos or couples who are looking for an RV with all the bells and whistles for extended use.
