4 Florida RV Parks with Unbelievable Pickleball Courts

If you haven’t already heard, allow me to be the first to tell you: Pickleball has officially taken over. It’s the sport everyone’s talking about. Tennis grounds are being reimagined with compact courts and unmistakable pickleball pops. Naturally, RV parks are wasting no time catching up with pickleball courts of their own. As pickleball’s popularity explodes, campground shuffleboard and tennis matches are overshadowed by the bounce and pop of pickleball paddles. And for good reason! Pickleball checks all the boxes for an RV friendly recreational social sport.

So, lets dive into some of Florida’s best RV parks and resorts with unbelievable pickleball courts.

Amazing RV Pickleball Courts in the Sunshine State

1. Sunkissed Village RV Resort

Located inland of Florida’s gulf coast, Sunkissed Village RV Resort is a perfect destination for Pickleball RVers. This central Florida resort has gone above and beyond to entice lovers of the sport.  Sunkissed Village RV Resort has three pickleball courts with tall perimeter fencing open until 10 p.m. The courts are lit in the evenings for after dark open play. The park even hosts its own pickleball tournaments!

The RV Park has almost 200 sites to choose from for any size rig. There is a large heated pool with a tiki bar and grill area perfect for soaking after a match.

To make reservations you can call 1-352-480-5000, or go online. For more specifics on their pickleball tournaments during the time of your stay, you can reach out to their activities department. This year, 2026, they are having pickleball tournaments once a month, usually the third Saturday of each month.

2. Sweet Citrus Acres RV Resort

For premier pickleball courts, look no further than Sweet Citrus Acres RV Resort. The park is located in the pristine Crystal River area where manatees migrate to the warm spring water in the winter.

The RV resort has four asphalt pickleball courts. They are dedicated private courts with permanent lines and nets. They have morning rallies, sunset games, and community focus play. This is a pickleball paradise for RVers.

Sweet Citrus Acres RV Resort is located at 3995 N. Turkey Oak Drive, Crystal River, Florida 34428. You can make reservations at 352-565-4284, or online. (Tip: If you book May through October, you can use the promotional code: BOGO 2026 and enjoy a buy one get one free deal. )

And don’t forget — the Manatee Swim Center in Crystal River is just 1.8 miles away. It’s an incredible opportunity to get up close and personal with these gentle giants. (Insider’s tip: If you’re like me, and you prefer to encounter these creatures in a more natural and secluded setting, check out the amazing Chassahowitzka River not far.)

3. Recreation Plantation RV Resort

OK, now that we have dipped our toes into Florida’s sea of pickleball courts, let’s get serious. Recreation Plantation RV Resort is the place to be if pickleball is your main goal. With fourteen courts on site, this resort has pickleball served up as the main course. All levels of pickleball players are welcome to join in the fun.

There are:

  • On-site instructors ready to step up your game,
  • Free beginner classes are on Monday, and
  • Free lessons with pickleball pro player Deb Harrison

Recreation Plantation will sometimes host sponsored pickleball tournaments. Check with their activities department before your trip if you’re interested in participating.  The park is located at 609 Highway 466 in Lady Lake, Florida 32159. To make a reservation you can call 1-352-753-7222 or go to their website. (Tip: book early during peak seasons, and don’t forget to take advantage of longer stay rates and special packages. Your first night is free at the resort! )

4. Sunshine Key RV Resort and Marina

For pickleball with a slice of tropical paradise, look no further than the Florida Keys. At Sunshine Key RV Resort and Marina, you can pop those pickleballs in the foreground of Florida’s emerald green crystal waters.

The resort has two permanent pickleball courts for your enjoyment. If you’re worried that they might fill up during your stay, you can make a reservation in advance to secure your spot!  At Sunshine Key the rules stay the same, but the exquisite scenery will transform your pickleball experience into a lasting memory.

The resort is located at 38801 Overseas Highway, Big Pine Key, Florida 33043. You can make reservations online through Thousand Trails or by calling 305-872-2217. (Tip: This 75 acre private island/RV resort comes at a hefty price. RV lots start at around $300/night for a full hookup site. Consider a membership with thousand trails, or Encore RV Parks to avoid paying the full rate. Booking early and reserving your site during the off season can also lighten the load.)

Also, don’t forget to check out the incredible Bahia Honda State Park just a mile away from the resort!

Making New RV Friends on Pickleball Courts

Paring pickleball with RVing is a great way to curate social events along with recreational sport. (So, if you don’t have pickleball gear yet, fix that before your next road trip.) On the road, it can be hard to facilitate social interactions in a comfortable environment. Pickleball is a safe and familiar arena for routine exercise amongst new friends. It is the perfect way to nourish your physical health and social agenda in a lifestyle where both can be hard to sustain.
