I rated the 2026 Grand Design RV Reflection 337RLS an above-average 8.3 out of 10 in our rating system. The model certainly scored high marks for the living area, storage, and kitchen. I am betting that prospective owners are also looking at these areas and that’s what’s bringing many of them to the table of this model. (That and that table now rotates to become a desk, which we’ll explain this in a moment.)

Benefits
- Storage space to chase your CCC. The Reflection 337RLS has 2,795 pounds of cargo carrying capacity, and let’s just say this: There’s plenty of room to test that limit. From the bedroom with its hanging spacer and washer-dryer hookup to the kitchen pantry and the cabinets all around, you want lack space for all the stuff you want to bring.
- Extending in the camping season. With a massive list of all-weather features neatly checked off, this model is primed to take you deeper into the colder months than your conventional fifth wheel.
- Plenty of room for cooking prep. For galley chefs who covet counter space, you’ll want to cover your eyes. There is plenty here to stoke desire. Starting with the large island but going well beyond it, this kitchen makes finding available countertop space a cinch.
Challenges
- Azdel-free lamination. I was surprised when Grand Design RV mentioned that they do not use Azdel — or other man-made products — in the lamination of their walls. While they indicated that the objective was to keep water out (rather than simply use materials that aren’t affected by it,) I still like these man-made substrates in the wall build. I don’t have any argument with the fact that lauan has a better “pull strength,” but it’s cheaper and can be damaged by water intrusion.
- Cheap bathroom vent fan. I talk about this loudly and often because it is (sadly) common. The four-inch vent fan in bathroom does little more than make noise. A high-performance vent fan would be greatly preferred here, and also a recommendation to upgrade to for new owners.
Best For
- Fifth wheel couples looking for more storage space. Quite simply, you’ll find plenty here, from hanging space and heated passthrough storage to washer-dryer hookups.
- All-weather campers who want a better-equipped RV. Oftentimes, even models that have heated and enclosed underbellies do things like leave the gate valves exposed. Not so with the Reflection 337RLS.
Key Areas We Evaluate for RV Buyers
Sleeping Space: 8/10
As what is referred to as a couples’ camper, the Reflection 337RLS prioritizes living life for two on the road. There is a proper queen-size, 60-inch-by-80-inch bed in the upstairs bedroom. The bed itself is located in a slide. That leaves the nose of the trailer for storage, and they did a good job of utilizing this space to provide hanging and drawer storage in the front closet. There is also a separate closet that can be used for hanging or is plumbed for a washer-dryer.
The chest of drawers you’ll find up here is pretty common, but what is not is another set of cabinets over that adding to the amount of storage in this room.
Bathroom: 8/10
RV builders are starting to offer cabinet cubbies with no doors simply because doors are expensive. Thankfully, Grand Design RV has not followed that trend here. Rather, it has stuck with a door that covers most of the cubbies and also has good drawer storage in the cabinet of the Reflection 337RLS.
There’s a large fiberglass shower with a molded-in seat and a porcelain foot flush toilet as well. The vent fan in the bathroom is one of the four-inch fans that does little more than make noise. (I wish they had used a higher-quality fan in here.)
For 2026, Grand Design RV has eliminated the skylight in the shower, which is one of the biggest failure points for RV roofs. (Smart move.) There is a scoop to add headroom as well as a light in the scoop — a good feature.
Living Area: 9/10
The living area on the Reflection 337RLS is spacious and has a number of good features. One of those is the dinette that has a bench seat toward the front and two individual chairs toward the rear. That bench seat is actually a movable ottoman, which means it has storage inside but can also be moved over to the couch or wherever. The top of the ottoman lifts up to reveal the storage but that lifted seat is also conveniently table height. (S0, you could use the ottoman for mealtime at the back sofa.) Another nice thing about the dinette is that the table can rotate so it could be used as a desk or as a dinette. And, of course, the back sofa does fold out into a bed in case you have guests.
There are also theater seats over on the camp side. These directly face the large TV and electric fireplace on the opposite side of this space.
Grand Design RV has incorporated a number of pet-friendly features into their RVs, including a heavier metal mesh over the lower portion of the screen called a Lippert Screen Defender. There are also pet bowls in a drawer and a leash latch on the outside.
Kitchen: 9/10
The Reflection 337RLS includes a really well put together kitchen with large residential-sized appliances, including the four-burner propane stove and oven, microwave, and 12-volt fridge. There are drawers and cabinets all over the place in here, as well as a pantry up at the front, which has more drawers and cabinets beside it. Storage is likely not going to be an issue.
Prep space is good, too, with the island countertop, as well as a decent countertop beside the stove.
Four-Season Capabilities: 9/10
Somewhere, if there is a checklist of items to evaluate a trailer’s ability to withstand colder climates, the Reflection 337RLS checks all of its boxes. There are 12-volt heat pads on all the tanks which are also in an enclosed and heated underbelly. The drain valves are also enclosed within a heated enclosure. There is also a radiant foil barrier beneath the holding tanks. Even the front passthrough space is heated!
Storage Space: 9/10
Fifth wheels, in general, have a lot of storage, and Grand Design RV has gone a bit above on the Reflection 337RLS. In the bedroom upstairs, there is the usual chest of drawers over on the camp side, but then there are also overhead cabinets for more storage here.
Interior storage is well done and plentiful with overhead cabinets, a ton of kitchen cabinets and drawers, a pantry, and plentiful storage in the bedroom as well. The Reflection 337RLS has almost a ton and a half of cargo carrying capacity — and there are plenty of places to test this limit.
Also, something I like is that the front compartment beneath the pin box actually has a strut to keep the door up plus the compartment is very clean and neatly packaged.
Chassis/Suspension: 8/10
The Reflection 337RLS comes with a lot of top-notch features where people don’t always look but should. The red drum brakes indicate that this is outfitted with Lippert’s anti-lock braking system, potentially one of the better safety advances in towable RVs. I actually got to test anti-lock braking on a closed track, and it’s an important safety advance. This system also incorporates anti-sway technology, which is also a good safety feature.
The suspension on this is a simple leaf spring system, but it does incorporate the MORryde CRE3000 upgrades, which adds some dampening and shock absorption as well as bearings that can be greased. (A good thing.) Further, there are Goodyear Endurance radials that incorporate a tire pressure monitoring system, also an important safety feature.
There is a receiver hitch on the back of the trailer that has a 300-pound load rating and features a four-pin connector for brake lights on a trailer. Ultimately, this is designed for double towing where legal.
Off-Grid/Sustainability: 8/10
The Reflection 337RLS comes with 370 watts of roof-top solar along with a 60-amp charge controller. (Sufficient if you want to add more panels.) There are also good-sized holding tanks. So, for those who want to camp off the grid, this could be a good choice.
As is becoming more common, the Reflection 337RLS uses a tankless water heater. These operate only on propane (along with a bit of 12-volt power for the circuit board and ignitor). To function, they have to see sufficient water flow, which can mean they aren’t well suited to being miserly with water when off the grid.
Build Quality: 7/10
I’m hoping that the bolstered warranty that these carry is a sign that Grand Design RV has likewise beefed-up their frame design. The company had come under a lot of fire for frame issues in their fifth wheels — and then truly botched the reaction to that. I didn’t see anything that I would consider an issue with the quality of this trailer though I’m still a little wary that the company isn’t using more water-resistant components in their lamination.
I do like that Grand Design RV has put a shutoff valve at most of the major plumbing fixtures here, which means that, should you encounter an issue, it won’t spell the end of a camping adventure. This is a very good thing.
Value: 8/10
There are a few more things I like about the Reflection 337RLS, including the fact that there are back-up lights on the trailer, an uncommon feature. There is also a provision for side view cameras as well as the usual rear-view/observation camera. Additionally, there were a number of details that I liked, including the plastic sewer hose caddy with a light directly above it. (Nice touch.)
For everything that you get on this model, you can see why so many buyers find it a great value.
Closing Notes on the Reflection 337RLS
For fifth wheel buyers looking for a new RV, I often recommend looking at this floorplan. The reasons why are clear. You can see the design decisions a company makes compared to other builders of this floorplan. In this case ,there are some pluses in the pet-friendly department, as well as a nice feel to the living and sleeping space.
But as the market becomes more competitive and others come on line, the Reflection 337RLS is the place where they’re gunning for the competition. (Already some builders really are bringing out positive features found here.) Grand Design RV has absolutely established a beachhead in this area and sells a lot of fifth wheels. But, as you’d expect, the competition isn’t standing still by any means.
