2025 Coachmen Mirada 35ES Review

Are you looking for a well-laid-out Class A that has lots of sleeping space for the whole gang? The gas-powered Coachman Mirada 35ES was designed with family and extended family road trips in mind. This floorplan offers eight sleeping spaces, two bathrooms, and loads of storage space. Not only that, but it comes kitted out with a Ford F-53 chassis with the legendary 7.3-liter V8 engine to get you up and over the hills without bogging down. However, those are just some of the reasons this family-friendly motorhome should be on your list.

At a Glance: 2025 Coachmen Mirada 35ES

Overall, I was very impressed by the Mirada 35ES floorplan and build quality. There is just so much to love about this RV. However, there are a couple of things I would love to see in this floorplan that would make it even more fantastic than it already is. First, if both front seats could swivel around, it would offer more seating options for eight campers. Second, if you camp like me, the removable tempered glass stove top cover would be broken sometime in the first year. I’d love to see a folding stove top cover instead.

Benefits

  • Easy to maneuver with plenty of power. Despite its size and output, the Mirada 35ES can be driven without a CDL. Its ground clearance, higher than many other Class A RVs, means you can get to RV-safe boondocking spots without scraping the bumpers. Once there, power leveling jacks do all the work at a touch of a button.
  • Designed for family gatherings. The residential-size fridge can store food and beverages for the whole gang, and you can prepare it all with either the three-burner stove, oven, or microwave. The flip-up countertop, sink covers, and stovetop cover add valuable counter space for food preparation and presentation.
  • Flexible floorplan with tons of storage. This RV sleeps up to eight and has enough storage space for everyone’s gear. The versatile multipurpose room can be used as a wardrobe, office, or bunkhouse. There’s lots of space so the whole gang can come without feeling crowded, particularly with thoughtful touches like the Lagun mounted dinette table that maximizes legroom.

  • Removable tempered glass cover for stovetop has to be stored somewhere safe

Key Areas We Evaluate for RV Buyers

Sleeping Space: 10/10

The master bedroom has a massive king-size bed with a comfortable mattress. While the bed has shelves on either side with plug-ins for electronics, you don’t have to put your CPAP machine there. That’s because Coachmen has devised something even better: There’s a CPAP-ready cabinet above the bed with a port for tubes and an outlet to plug it into. It gets your CPAP machine both out of the way and out of sight.

In addition, the master bedroom has plenty of storage in dressers and cabinets but also in easy-to-access drawers under the bed. At the back of the RV is a self-contained ensuite bathroom with even more cabinet space.

But I’ve only just started to tell you about sleeping space in this Mirada floorplan. At the front of the RV, over the cockpit is a drop-down bed that has a 500-lb weight capacity, making it suitable for two adults. There’s also a fold-down dinette that can sleep two children or smaller adults.

But dinette sleeping is pretty standard fare for RVs. Coachmen goes a step further with a clever bonus room in the slide out that can serve multiple purposes. Sliding a rather innocuous-looking barn-style door reveals a small room with two bunks that are ready for two sleepers. Each space has its own USB charging ports and 110 V outlet. The top bunk easily flips up to create a neat little office space.

However, if more wardrobe space is what you really need, Coachmen has you covered. A wardrobe rod spans the multi-purpose room near the ceiling – perfect for hanging jackets, coats, dresses or whatever else you need it for.

Bathrooms: 9/10

To help mitigate morning lineups for the bathroom, the Coachmen Mirada boasts one full bathroom and one powder room. The main bathroom is super spacious, with a roomy big-people-friendly shower and loads of additional cabinets for storing towels, toiletries, toilet paper or whatever you need to store.

The powder room has an easy-to-clean ceramic toilet and a vanity with a medicine cabinet over it. There’s enough space around the toilet that most people won’t feel squished, but not much more. The medicine cabinet behind the mirror is perfect for small necessities and grooming essentials. The vanity cabinet is big enough to store cleaning supplies with room left over for other items.

Each washroom has its own black tank and grey tank. A 70-gallon freshwater tank and on-demand water heater ensures that everyone who needs a shower can enjoy one. There’s also an outside shower for washing off sandy feet or a muddy dog.

Living Area: 10/10

The living area of the Mirada 35ES feels spacious, owing to a big driver-side slide out. There’s a cozy nook just behind the dinette with twin reclining theatre seats that are equipped with every convenience – cup holders, cavernous in-arm storage for remotes and other items, and individual controls for heat/cooling and massage. These would be so nice after a day of driving!

A fireplace with multiple flame settings and a 42-inch TV are just the ticket to a relaxing and cozy apres dinner evening. The bench-style dinette in the Mirada is a comfy hangout area. Its Lagun mounted leg makes the table adjustable to multiple positions and frees up plenty of legroom.

In addition, the 17-foot awning lets you expand your sheltered living space. A 42-inch smart TV would be great for watching the big game or movies with the kids.

Kitchen: 8/10

The kitchen features a residential-size fridge and plenty of counter space.

Coachmen designed this RV knowing that when you’re traveling with a crew of people, you need an efficient kitchen that has both countertop and storage space. The kitchen in the Mirada 35ES has both, plus a big, stainless steel farmhouse sink with a striking-looking black pull-down spray faucet.

The edges of the Mirada’s white solid surface countertops are edged with gorgeous alabaster-like trim with LED lights behind it. The resulting effect is a beautiful, gentle glow that could serve as an unobtrusive nightlight for kids sleeping in the main area of the RV.

Appliances include a 12-cubic-foot refrigerator, a large microwave oven, a three-burner gas cooktop and a small conventional oven that’s perfect for baking a batch of cookies or a pizza. There’s plenty of counter space in this floorplan, especially when the sink and stove covers and the flip-up counter are deployed.

Four-Season Capabilities: 10/10

The Mirada 35ES is a true four-season RV. That’s because it’s outfitted with both gas and electric heat sources and two air conditioners that have heat pumps. But that’s not all: This Mirada has a great insulation package, dual-pane windows, and a heated, enclosed underbelly.

Storage Space: 10/10

Each area of the Mirada offers a wealth of storage, everywhere your eye lands. There are overhead cabinets over the cockpit, seating area, and bed. At hand are cupboards, closets, and drawers from the kitchen through to the rear bathroom, which features a full-height linen closet. The master bedroom features a dresser and a washer/dryer-prepped cabinet, as well as that handy CPAP station. Reach down and you’ll find drawers under the bed, the dinette bench seats, and various parts of the kitchen. Not to mention the multi-purpose room, which can be dedicated to wardrobe space.

Outside, there are numerous storage cabinets including two pass-through cabinets; enough for all your gear whether the occasion calls for adventure or relaxation.

Closing Notes on the Coachmen Mirada 35ES

The Coachmen Mirada 35ES is definitely an impressive RV. That said, the attractive, sleek modern lines of its exterior are just a hint of what’s on the inside. This RV is filled with phenomenal amenities. That said, if you’re looking for a gasser that’s loaded with nice features but still has room for a small crowd of adventure seekers, you’ll definitely want to put the Mirada 35ES on your radar.
