2025 Coachmen Chaparral 375BAF Review
If you have a big family who likes to camp in sumptuous style, the family-oriented 2025 Coachmen Chaparral 375BAF is for you. With up to nine sleeping spaces, there’s room for everyone (and the dog too) in this luxurious fifth wheel trailer. But wait, there’s generous cabinet and shelf storage for everyone’s gear, plus the whole family’s sporting equipment too. On top of that, the bunk room is self-contained with its own full bathroom. I’m excited to tell you more about the Chaparral 375BAF, so let’s roll on with this big-rig review.
At a Glance: 2025 Coachmen Chaparral 375BAF
The Coachmen Chaparral 375BAF is a gorgeous, family-friendly trailer with plenty of room for a large family. It got great scores in every area, but there were a few things I would like to see improvement on.
Sleeping space was comfortable, but there was no space to put CPAP machines, which have become popular with campers of all ages. The wardrobe cabinet in the master bedroom was too high to be easy for many people to use.
In the kitchen, the 375BAF lost a couple of points because the cup hooks are located disarmingly close to passing people. There’s no doubt that the otherwise laidback vibe of this RV would be frequently broken by the sound of mugs landing noisily on the floor. It’s just a bad location for cup hooks. The kitchen could also use a little more counter space – easily rectified with a small, flip-up counter that could be deployed as needed.
This Chaparral also lost a point for off-grid sustainability because 45 gallons of freshwater is not nearly enough to last long for the six to eight people that would be staying in this RV.
That said, it has a great solar power package. The build quality is fantastic other than having OSB instead of furniture-grade plywood under the bed.

Benefits
- Open floorplan lets large groups gather. Dining table plus island seating means there’s space for everyone to enjoy meals comfortably, or watch a movie. The high ceilings with lots of windows keep the interior from feeling claustrophobic. The rack-and-pinion slide outs are virtually trouble-free.
- Kids have their own self-contained area. The bunkroom has a full bathroom so they don’t need to share with the adults. Being high up in the cap of the RV it’s also a fun place for kids to sleep in. The washer and dryer hookups are conveniently close to kids’ wardrobe cabinets.
- Smart construction enhances everyday life. Solid surface countertops are easy to maintain and keep clean. Air conditioners can optionally dump cold air directly into rooms so it doesn’t warm up in the ductwork on hot days. Heat pumps and high-BTU-output electric fireplace help to conserve propane.

Key Areas We Evaluate for RV Buyers
Sleeping Space: 9/10
The Chaparral 375 BAF has a wealth of sleeping space. Let’s start with the master bedroom where I found a huge, king-size bed in the rear passenger-side slide out.
Overall, however, it’s a well laid out space with plenty of cabinet and drawer storage over the bed and along the opposite wall to the bed. There’s even a secret storage spot beneath the top of the wardrobe dresser – great for keeping jewelry or electronic devices when the family is away having fun. Surprisingly, although there were USB charging ports and 110-volt outlets for each side of the bed, there was nowhere to put a CPAP machine.
There is plenty of wardrobe closet space here. However, one is high enough that anyone under six feet tall will need a stepstool to access it.
The cap of this floorplan houses a self-contained bunkroom that’s high enough off the ground to have the ambiance of a kids’ private fort. It’s really a fun space with up to four bunks, each with its own USB charging port and 110-volt outlet. This room has everything. That includes wardrobe space and shelves as well as a full bathroom.
The bunk room also has its own air conditioner/heat pump so kids won’t get too hot or too cold. Each bunk also has its own window, which keeps the room light and airy. If you don’t need all four bunks, one of the top bunks flips up to reveal an area that’s prepped for a washer/dryer.
The tri-fold sofa bed in the living area quickly transforms into a comfortable queen-size sleeping space for up to two more campers. And if that’s not enough room, there’s a bonus loft space which could house a queen mattress for two adventurous campers. However, the low ceiling height in the loft might feel claustrophobic for many adults. This space is really high, so it would be a good idea for anyone sleeping in it to be protected from falling out of bed with netting or a bed rail.
Bathroom: 10/10
There are two bathrooms in the Chaparral 375BAF. I love that Coachmen has installed modern-looking matte black towel bars and toilet paper holders. Another bonus is that both bathrooms have easy-to-clean porcelain toilets. The bathroom in the front cap is definitely on the small side, but it’s big enough for most adults to use comfortably. The porcelain toilet in this bathroom will be easy for older kids to keep clean. The shower has lots of space to stretch upward in, but the diameter could be a little squishy for big adults. There’s cabinet storage under the vanity and in the medicine cabinet above it.
The main bathroom lies just beyond the master bedroom, at the back of the RV. This spacious room has an airy and modern feel. This is owing to the natural-looking wood countertops on top of light-colored double vanity cabinets. There’s also an abundance of natural light coming in through two windows over this bathroom’s four mirrored medicine cabinets. The main shower in this fifth wheel has a clear glass door that may be hard to keep spot-free. However, it has lots of room, even for bigger people. Not only is there miles of headroom here, but there’s plenty of room in all directions.
Living Area: 10/10
The L-shaped living area in the Chaparral is definitely family-friendly. The comfy theatre seats and sofa bed are configured to face a well appointed entertainment center and the kitchen next to it. This gorgeous walnut and slate gray entertainment center boasts a massive 50-inch TV with a Bluetooth sound surround speaker and a cozy fireplace beneath it. There are four comfy dining room chairs that could be used for additional seating for family movie nights.
Outside, a 24-foot awning provides additional sheltered living space for relaxing or enjoying camping activities.
Kitchen: 8/10
The kitchen gets a modern feel from a graceful-looking LED light fixture overhead. The island holds a huge undermount kitchen sink with a black pull-down spray faucet. The dark cabinetry of the island contrasts with the light cabinetry of the rest of the kitchen which includes a big coffee bar. The overall effect is very appealing. Solid surface countertops throughout the kitchen have a hint of sparkle to them, which adds to the modern appeal.
When you’re camping with a lot of people, you need to bring a lot of food. To that end, you’ve got both a big Furrion french door refrigerator and a lot of cabinet space here for all of your groceries.
Camp chefs will love the big GE microwave, three-burner Furrion gas cooktop with a window over it, as well as the Furrion gas oven for baking goodies like pizza or cookies.
Four-Season Capabilities: 10/10
The Chaparral 375 BAF is well equipped for four-season comfort. Amenities begin with R-15 insulation and an enclosed and heated underbelly. Inside, there are three 13,500 BTU air conditioner/heat pumps as well as a high-output electric fireplace and a 35,000 BTU propane furnace. However, the lofty ceilings and windows in this floorplan create a lot of indoor air to heat when it’s cold outside.
Storage Space: 9/10
There’s generous storage inside and outside the 375 BAF. Under the cap, there’s a cavernous cabinet that could house a generator or other items. There’s also an oversized passthrough storage area that would be perfect for additional camping gear or sporting goods. By the way, this fifth wheel has a two-inch receiver on the back for a hitch-mounted bike or kayak rack
Inside, Coachmen has done a fantastic job of providing storage in cabinets and drawers. However, the “bonus loft” space offers a lot of additional storage for anything you can’t find space for downstairs.
Closing Notes on the Chaparral 375 BAF
The Chaparral 375 BAF is a big, nicely laid out unit that’s especially well suited for large families. It sits on a heavy-duty, leaf-spring suspension with greasable wet bolts. Inside, the decor is gorgeous yet comfortable, featuring laidback grays, walnut-look counters in both bathrooms and light slate-style flooring. Lots of privacy glass windows with no fuss one-touch shades allow natural light to flow through this RV.
This is an extra-large fifth wheel that will require a big tow vehicle to move. That means you’ll need a one-ton pickup with payload capacity of at least 2,500 to 3,000 pounds to tow it anywhere. You’ll also want to have extensive trailer towing experience before taking this behemoth on the road.
