Winnebago and McDonald’s Team Up for Monopoly Game Prizes
Last month, RV maker Winnebago announced that they were teaming up with the fast-food giant McDonald’s for the latest version of the burger chain’s Monopoly game — with the 2026 Winnebago View 24D motorhome as the grand prize. In addition, a 2026 Winnebago Thrive 18FBS travel trailer was an instant win prize in the contest. Although the gameplay went from October 6 through November 2, 2026, the deadline for claims is through November 23, 2026.
How Winnebago, McDonald’s, and Monopoly Came Together
The McDonald’s game might be familiar to some where players collect various game pieces that share the names with properties in the Monopoly board game. Like that game, the various properties have different values. There are both physical game pieces and digital game pieces owing to McDonald’s now requiring participants to participate within their app-based system. This requires participants to register via the app. Further one has to opt in to the McDonald’s Rewards Program as well and then has to register for a Game profile.
“Winnebago has participated as a prize partner previously in our 67-year history, and we are thrilled to be back to provide prizes for the 2025 McDonald’s Monopoly Game,” says Amber Holm, Winnebago Industries’ chief marketing and experience officer.
How One Wins the Grand Prize
To win the grand prize one must collect both Park Place (piece 821) and Boardwalk (piece 822). After physically collecting a game piece and scanning and entering a code or collecting a digital game piece in the McDonald’s app players have a chance to instantly win the 2026 Winnebago Thrive 18FBS travel trailer.
This is different than some past games where players simply got game pieces at McDonald’s without having to divulge who you were, except if they won a prize. While there are still physical game pieces available with qualifying purchases (as specified by the company’s website), to be eligible a player must use the McDonald’s app.
McDonald’s states that no purchase is necessary to obtain a chance to win a prize in their Monopoly game nor will a purchase increase one’s odds of winning, but those who do want a free game piece must request one at amoe.playatmcd.com. The deadline for any game piece is minding on November 23, 2025.
