Recreation By Design RVs Information:
Recreation by Design RVs
Recreation by Design RVs was first started by Lewis and Virginia Rush in the 1950s. After retirement, one of their four children re-opened the business in 1988 to have it become what it is today. Over the course of their 30 years in business, they have produced more than 10,000 custom RVs factory-direct from their location in Elkhart, Indiana - known as the "RV Capital of the World."
Recreation by Design, also known as RBD, specializes in travel trailers and fifth wheels, built to exceed all governing requirements and codes. All new Recreation by Design RVs are factory-direct and custom built so the original owner chooses everything from the size, floorplan, entertainment and decor options based on their needs, preferences, and budget. Custom travel trailers are available in lengths ranging from 32 feet to 48 feet, and feature floor plans designed to chosen specifications. Custom fifth wheel trailers are also built to chosen specifications, but are available in lengths ranging from 32 feet to 50 feet. Much of what’s available on the resale market was built custom when it was new.
Those in the market for an RV who don’t want to pay the extra costs associated with building a custom option can choose from two models - the Baypoint and the Navigation. Each comes in a variety of floor plans, ranging from 36 feet to 46 feet. Some models feature the bedroom in the front, while others allow for a rear or split bedroom.
In addition to travel trailers and fifth wheels, Recreation by Design also offers the option to build a destination trailer or commercial unit. Destination trailers are perfect for those who live full-time in their RV, but also want a weekend camper stationed at their favorite campground. Commercial units include bunkhouses, medical units, star trailers, and multi-suite living quarters, and feature flexible design options with custom layouts.
