Starcraft RVs Information:
Starcraft RV was founded in 1903 under a different name manufacturing metal farm equipment. By 1915, Star Tank & Boat had produced their first rowboat and was a steel boat maker innovating aluminum boats by the 1950s. Lloyd Bontrager invented the first lifter mechanism in 1963 and ran operations there until 1967 (later founded Jayco). In 1964, they entered the camper industry with Starmaster, Starliner, and Star Rambler. In 1966, they changed their name to Starcraft Corp. 1968 was when Starcraft began manufacturing travel trailers. Starcraft was the first luxury van conversion manufacturer in 1977.
Starcraft was bought by Learjet in 1984 and then Jayco purchased their RV division in 1991. Since that time, Starcraft has expanded their facilities, workforce, and vehicles in North Central Indiana. The focus continues to be on innovative products within their travel trailer and fifth wheel lines. 55,000 trailers were made by Starcraft by the early 1990s. The popular Autumn Ridge RV was launched in 2008. In 2012, Starcraft worked on an EgoAdvantage campaign where they aim to be a landfill free company.
Starcraft strives itself in their commitment to quality excellence. The Starcraft Magnum Roof system is 50% stronger than others in the industry and built to last. Through testing of competition, they have shown that Starcraft has the highest quality roof system on the market. Starcraft also uses TuffShellTM vacuum-bonded lamination. The walls use a combination of welded aluminum framing, fiberglass walls, and metal backers. This increased Starcraft RV’s ability to handle the toughest environmental conditions.
Starcraft currently offers a full line of camping trailers, lightweight trailers, full-size trailers, and several fifth wheel brands. These include their GPS, Satellite, and Telluride. Starcraft RV bunkhouses are also popular thanks to one or two sets of bunk beds. This flexible option allows a quiet out of the way space for people to sleep. In addition to this, the bunkhouse means that you keep living areas fully functional all day.
