Gulf Stream Coach Inc. was founded by James F. Shea Sr in Nappanee, Indiana in 1983. Gulf Stream RVs has a long history of providing quality recreational vehicles and has weathered the year as a family-owned and family-operated business. They currently have over 20 brands and over 140 models spanning across RVs, fifth wheels, travel trailers, and toy haulers. Through the 1990s, the sons of James F. Shea Sr ran the company having learned everything from their father. The patriarch was blessed by being named to the Manufactured Housing & Recreational Vehicle Hall of Fame.
Gulf Stream RV’s focus has always been on quality recreational vehicles that encourage their clientele to travel and enjoy their excursions with a vehicle that is built to last and provide all the comforts you would desire. Using the knowledge of manufactured home building that had been passed down, they were able to create a "home on wheels" while using lightweight materials to make the traveling easier. Unlike other companies, Gulf Stream RV uses additional construction techniques to provide stability, reliability, stronger, and safer recreational vehicles.
In August of 2018, the company also announced the inclusion of Murphy beds in several models to provide comfortable bedding and plenty of living space during the day. This forward-thinking, by using something more popular decades ago, is one reason why Gulf Stream RVs are popular.
