The Coleman Company, currently owned by Newell Brands, is a widely respected company for producing sturdy and reliable outdoor equipment. Many people are familiar with their line of tents, camping gear, and lanterns.
Coleman began in 1902 manufacturing lanterns that helped every miner and household work and live in the dark. With the lantern quickly gaining popularity, they naturally made the move into camping gear. It was only time before they got into the recreational vehicle and that time was 1967. Throughout the years, several RV manufacturers have owned licensing rights of the Coleman name. Presently, all Coleman recreational vehicles are manufactured at the Dutchmen Manufacturing plant in Goshen, Indiana.
For the past 25 years, Coleman RVs have been a staple for many large families who were looking to take the pleasures of home to the outdoors. In 2018, Dutchmen released a new series of vehicles, Coleman Light, that are specifically for the young families who are just exploring the outdoors. They are easily affordable and still provide plenty of home comforts while exploring the United States. In total, there are four lines of Coleman RVs offered; Coleman Lantern, Coleman Lantern LT, Coleman Light, and Coleman Light LX. Each one features plenty of sleeping space, dinette, shower/bathroom, and enough room to move about.
There are over a dozen Coleman lines from previous licensed manufacturers that can be located. Floor plans will be slightly different but you can count on a quality vehicle that is worthy of the Coleman logo.
