Chinook RVs Information:
Chinook is self-described as "The Sports Car of Motorhomes." As one of the oldest names in the North American RV industry, the originally family owned company has a long history, as it was founded in the 1930s. Originally, Chinook produced Class A, Class B, and Class C motorhomes. At the start of the 21st century, the company went through some economic trouble and had to close down, thus stopping production of new models.
In September 2017, 12 years after the company’s foreclosure, Chinook made a comeback. Chinook Motor Coach once again began opening to dealers, focusing on the "rebirth of a legend." The current President and CEO is Phil Rizzio, who acquired the intellectual property rights to the brand in 2013. In addition to those rights, he obtained the molds, designs, manufacturing jigs, nameplates, templates, and all other supporting material still in existence to resurrect the brand.Today, Chinook RV is a luxury RV manufacturer specializing in Class B motorhomes. Currently, they have two models, the Bayside executive travel van, and the Countryside, a fully self-contained travel RV van. These look more like conversion vans than traditional motorhomes.
The Bayside offers seating for up to 10, depending on the floor plan. It features a rear bathroom, galley with sink, microwave, and fridge, an integrated iPad control system, and complete entertainment system with two televisions.
The Countryside is the new model launched as part of the brand’s reintroduction. It’s built on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis. It features a queen power sofa or bench dinette, a full wet bathroom, up to four captain's chair seating, and optional heat and massage seating.
Whether you choose to go with one of the newer models or one of the older styles, you’ll be ready to make treasured memories that last a lifetime with your Chinook RV.
